May He Rest In Peace

We continue to mourn our loss and celebrate the life of our pastor, Fr. Stephen Kanonik.

His visitation was on Tuesday, January 14th and Wednesday, January 15th at St. Benedict Parish. The Mass of the Resurrection was offered at 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 15th, followed by interment at Maryhill Cemetery.

The funeral Mass was live-streamed is archived for later viewing on our YouTube channel. In lieu of flowers, the Kanonik family suggests donations to the St. Benedict Parish Endowment Fund.

Fr. James Kastigar, a classmate of Fr. Steve’s, gave the homily at the Funeral Mass. Click here for a transcript of the homily.

Bishop Robert Casey was the presider at Fr. Steve’s Funeral Mass and read the following letter from Cardinal Blase Cupich.
