About Fr. Robert
Fr. Robert Pajor was born in Brzesko Poland. He grew up in a small town Iwkowa which is located about 50 miles away from Kraków. After three years at Tarnów Seminary he came to United States to continue his studies at Mundelein Seminary. He was ordained in 2007 at Holy Name Cathedral. Since his ordination he was serving at St. Thecla Parish in Chicago, St. Ferdinand Parish in Chicago and St. John Brebeuf Parish in Niles. July 1st 2015 he was assigned as Associate Pastor at St. Benedict.
About Fr. Tom
Fr. Tom is a priest for the archdiocese of Chicago. He comes from the pastoral center where he worked with international priests coming to Chicago. He now joins the St. Benedict team excited to share his experience in parish work for over 20 years.
Originally from New Jersey, Elaine moved to the Chicago area with her husband Pat in 2001. After a career in the insurance industry, Elaine wanted to look for more opportunities to serve God and was encouraged to join the Lay Ecclesial Ministry program sponsored by the Archdiocese. She received her Certificate of Studies in Lay Ecclesial Ministry in 2013 and graduated from Loyola University of Chicago in 2016 with a Masters of Divinity and a Masters of Spirituality. Her studies enable her to offer Spiritual Direction as well as companion those that wish to do the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius. She has completed the process to become a certified Pastoral Associate and is very excited to be part of the community here at St. Benedict.

Daniel J. Hughes started at Saint Ben's in August 2016. He is currently finishing his Master of Arts in Religious Education at Loyola University and finished the Lay Ecclesial Ministry program with the Archdiocese of Chicago in 2015. He was a Catechist at neighboring Saint Matthias Parish for 8 years.

Jeremy Kiolbassa is a performer and composer, living and working in Chicago, IL. His Fascination with sacred music the organ began in his formative years at St. Hyacinth Catholic School in Chicago. In childhood he demonstrated a natural ability to play by ear, and his abilities developed without formal training into adolescence, teaching himself to read music while continuing to play by ear and improvise. His formal musical training began relatively late as he attended Whitney Young High School in Chicago. While refining his keyboard technique, he also gained a great love for choral repertoire during this time, singing in choirs under the baton of two great conductors, Scott Arkenberg and Gloria Brown. He went on to attend VanderCook College of Music to study music education. He studied applied piano performance in the studio of Ms. Marianne Krupa and studied choral conducting with Dr. Robert Sinclair. He also served as the choral librarian and assistant for two years. He had the privilege of studying with Dr. Elizabeth Naegele at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago for just over 3 years.He joined the staff at St. Benedict in July 2013. Under his direction, the parish has embraced the organ and ‘traditional’ worship, and the music program continues to grow exponentially. His ear and natural ability have manifested a love for improvisation and composition.
Director of Youth Ministry
Kim McMillan has lived in Chicago and the surrounding community her whole life. She loves the city and it's vibrant community. Prior to coming to St. Benedict Parish, she ministered with St. Celestine Parish. Kim started in youth ministry as a volunteer and grew in competency and experience as she recognized ministry with young people was her calling. Kim received her certificate in Ministry from The Center for Ministry Development and when the Archdiocese of Chicago created Certification for Youth Ministry, she was the first to receive accreditation. She has worked with the National Association of Catholic Youth Ministers and has helped form Youth Ministers through The Institute for Catholic Youth Ministers. Her primary responsibilities include creating a Ministry with the parishioners of St. Benedict'sthat will support and encourage our young people to respond to the call of discipleship and involvement in this community of faith. Kim is married to Kevin and they have three sons.
Director of Finance
Geoff Pautsch is a lifelong “north side” Chicagoan. As Director of Finance, his primary responsibilities include directing the fiscal needs of the entire parish campus, comprising of budgeting and reporting analysis, human resources and payroll, legal aspects of parish life, rectory office procedures, tuition office management, and general parish operations. Geoff also supervises the maintenance department and oversees all capital projects with the assistance and support of our Director of Maintenance. He works with our parish advisory councils (Finance and Faciltiies) to ensure the parish is moving in the best direction for future generations.
Parish Office Manager
Ellen Roberts was born and raised in the same house that her father grew up in on the North side of Chicago, near Humboldt Park and now resides in Des Plaines. Ellen has been a part of St Benedict’s Parish for the past seventeen years, starting out by being part of the A&E committee even before she became Catholic twelve years ago. Ellen worked in the Directional Marketing field of Yellow Pages Advertising for good number years until the company she was working with closed. While looking for a full time position she worked part time at St Ben’s Rectory as the Receptionist. Then almost two years ago Fr Jason hired her as the full time Parish Manager. Some of her responsibilities include recording all Sacramental records, contributions and updating all Parishioner information. Additional duties includeanswering the main telephone line for the entire campus, posting mail, and scheduling events in our calendar system along with other task that may cross her desk. Should you visit the Rectory you will see Ellen’s smiling face as you are greeted or hear her voice should you call St Benedict’s main number.
Barb is very happily married to William who is an alumni of St. Benedict School. They have two sons William age 23 and George age 22. Barb’s sons are Alumni of St. Ben’s and are currently enrolled in De Paul University and will be graduating in Juneand Fall 2014. Barb began her career part- time at St. Ben’s on 1/20/1998. Barb was already here on a daily basis serving as Lunch Mom and Room Rep for both of her sons classes. In January 1, 2000 the work load increased and she became full-time and has been here since. Barb works in the Accounting Department and is now the Accounting Manager. Barb’s favorite TV show is NCIS, favorite food is cheeseburgers and French fries, and also loves walking around in the North Center neighborhood.
Parish Office Assistant
Christine graduated from Bradley University in 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Religious Studies. She has been working at St. Benedict since 2014. Christine is the Parish Site Administrator for Protecting God’s Children compliance for staff and volunteers. She also serves as assistant to the Director of Finance. She lives in Oak Lawn with her husband Patrick. They are both catechists and active members of their parish. Christine enjoys traveling, spending time with her friends and family, and studying theology.
Associate Director of Music Ministry
Mathew has served as a music ministry associate at St. Benedict since February of 2015. His primary role is accompanying the 6:30pm Sunday Night liturgy as well as serving as needed at other masses and liturgical functions. A Michigan native, Matt moved to Chicago in 2001 after completing his bachelor's and master's degrees at Michigan State University. Matt has worked at a number of parishes in Chicago including: St. Vincent DePaul, St Luke's (River Forest), St. Matthias, and St. Joseph's (Libertyville). Matt is a passionate fan of his MSU Spartans and enjoys watching and being involved in sports. Matt resides in Uptown with Archie, a high energy silver labrador he adopted in July of 2017. Matt is also Jack, Max, and Grace's favorite Uncle.
