Blessed, Broken, Given~ The National Catholic Youth Conference~ High School age

In a distinctly Catholic setting, the National Catholic Youth Conference invites high school age participants to encounter Christ, experience church, and be empowered for discipleship.

NCYC the National Catholic Youth Conference is happening in Indianapolis, November 21-23rd. St. Benedict Parish is planning on attending with a group. The conference is a 3-day experience focusing on the faith of high school students. with it’s impressive speakers, music and sheer number of participants this is an experience of faith that can not be duplicated.

This is a reflection of the experience from one of the participants from St Benedict Parish.

Preparing and going to NCYC was nerve-racking. I had no idea what to expect from this type of conference. All of my doubts and worries quickly diminished as I realized that I was surrounded by 25,000 other teenagers who were also there to learn more about their faith. Every single day was full of keynote speakers, smaller group reflections, singing, and meeting new people from all across the country. Some of my favorite speakers touched on subjects such as finding yourself through faith, surrounding yourself with people that support you, and responding to God's call. I never felt more at home than when I was sitting in an arena with thousands of other teenagers who were all experiencing the faith together.  NCYC was an unforgettable experience. I will always carry the lessons that I learned there with me throughout my faith journey. ~Jamie

NCYC is not only a youth retreat, but a great reminder that as a pilgrim Church we are always on the journey and always called upon to share the gift of Jesus with others.

Would a high school student you know be interested in attending in November?
